FAQ

Need to know something? Just ask

Question : I need to cancel/edit/move/change my reservation, can you help me?

Yes! We’d love to help! If you booked on our website or by calling us directly we have full control of your reservation and can help.
If you booked through an OTA (online travel agent) like Expedia, Travel republic or the like, the only thing we have control to change is adding more nights. If you need to cancel or change the dates you will need to contact them directly. If booked with Airbnb, Booking.com etc, we can arrange changes for you.

Question : Our arrival is really late, are you sure its ok?

Yes, we’re sure. We just ask everyone to please respect others as they come in late at night.  Over the last few years, we’ve only had one guest cause a ruckus that disturbed others. He and his buddy had gotten drunk on the train, arrived and came stumbling into the Apartment….. just don’t be that guy.

Question : How do I check-in?

Before your arrival our reservation system will send you an Arrival Info email, that email will contain a code for the front door.  The front door is the only RED DOOR, on the Top landing, so you will find it no problem. Instructions are also on the wall on how to gain entry if you have missed the Email.
Please use the door access code sent to you to let yourself in when you arrive and as you come and go during your stay. Once inside, the door code used will be the code that will last your entire stay. However, the code will no longer work after 11 am check-out

Question : I’m arriving early, what should I do?

We have the apartment ready by 2:00 p.m. each day.  If you arrive earlier, we will accommodate early arrival if you request and let us know prior to arrival.
Late check-out we can arrange for a small fee of £25.00 which can allow you to 1.00 pm
Please check with us to confirm availability.

Question : Do you live here? Will I meet you?

This is not our home, we do not live here. Depending on your schedule and ours, we may be able to meet, we try to give our guests plenty of privacy during your stay. But we do love meeting our guests and hearing about your adventure so if you’re so inclined, please do say hello. If we don't meet you, we can always be reached by phone or text, 0780-839-5857 is my personal number

Question : What’s the WIFI password?

Don't worry, we have FREE Wi-FI to entertain the kids or so you can do business!
There is a Guest Information Book on the coffee table in the Livingroom.
It will also be in the Arrival Info Email that we send to you.

Question : What’s the dealio with breakfast?

While we do not serve you breakfast in bed, we do provide some basics for a more enjoyable stay. The kitchen is fully stocked for a nice self-serve continental style breakfast with provided fresh bread, toast, cereals, granola bars, porridge jams, real butter, coffee, tea & milk
So fill your boots!!

Question : Can I bring my tiny, well-behaved dog?

We are sorry, but, no. We are pet lovers ourselves and have a dog, but our housekeepers have severe allergies. We like to keep the apartment a safe-haven for others who suffer as well, so our “no pet” policy is pretty strict.
We hope you understand.

Question : Where can I smoke?

Our property is all non-smoking, However, we have a designated smoking area directly outside of the apartment on the top landing that's made a smoking area. There is ashtrays, comfy seats and lights for at night. There is also a back garden patio outside down the first set of stairs, feel free to use this if you prefer to smoke outside

Question : Where can i park? Is it free?

Parking is free directly outside the apartment. It is safe and secure and has no parking restrictions during the day or weekends. It, however, can be a busy car park, so if full you can park on the street behind the apartment building called Princess Street which is also free.

Question : Are there any supermarkets, fuel stations close by?

There are four major chain supermarkets all within less than a few minute's walks from each other. Three Fuel stations close by also.

Question: I'm a Gym buff, so are there any fitness/gyms close by?

You are in luck!, there's a Leisure Health Fitness centre with a swimming pool directly across the road from the apartment.

Question : Planes, trains, automobiles?

While Hawick is a relatively small town of around 17,000 people, its transport links are pretty good.

Buses leave from Mart Street, every 20 mins, and the bus stop is a brief two-minute stroll from the apartment.

Lots of taxis around also and the nearest train station is less than a 30-minute car drive or 45-minute bus journey to Galashiels Town, where the train station is.

Question : Anything that i need to bring as a last minute?

We provide all the bare essentials that one will need, bedding, towels, clothes hangers, shampoos, coffee, milk, hell we even provide a spare toothbrush for you!
So get your bag packed and get to it!
Looking forward to Seeing you soon.
